A-fucking-men.  Suburbs of a top 100 midwest flyover city is where it’s at.  Livable houses under $100k, mansions for $250k.  Awesome jobs and more employers moving in than moving away - that’s not even taking into account all the remote jobs.

YES!  Money is one of the main causes of fights between couples, especially when one tends to be a spender and one tends to be a saver.

Blame the YT account, they have the ability to select parts of the video where ads should go.

It’s a free service, you’re really gonna complain about ads?

Seems pointless - don’t most if not all insurance companies offer their own or have a partnership with some sort of telehealth group?  Mine does, I don’t have to pay an additional monthly fee for it and it was free last time I had to call to get meds for an ear infection.

I don’t think there’s anything that I like enough to put in the time and effort to do this for.

Well California has your idea in mind - no new ICE sales starting in 2035 (I think). Honestly, I think that’s a far enough horizon to make it possible to meet without undue hardships.

You’re talking about making these changes NOW, not sometime in the future right?

Unions are shit - full stop.  Amazon also did more for employees and customers in the beginning of this pandemic than anyone else.  They still offer some of the best pay you can get in a zero skill job.  They’ll continue to get my support.

The true measure of how complicated a project is AND how adept you are is how many return trips you have to make to home depot.

Got mine last week at Minute Clinic in CVS while I was getting checked out for an ear infection (turns out it was a double infection, fun!).

I saw some idiot post something on FB about how 43 cops have been murdered this year.  I just posted 661 and said nothing.  When they questioned my comment I told them that’s how many citizens died at the hands of police so far (to that point) this year and that I’ll care about the 43 when 661 is the lower of the two

Ban coal - fine but good luck convincing everyone that nuclear is safe and that wind turbines don’t cause cancer.

This is me. I’ll celebrate with the lights off and hope no one stops by. It’s just still too risky and my dogs go crazy with the doorbell and people showing up. And we get maybe 30 kids that stop by, not worth it.

Interesting how well that line of thinking (control our fate with behavior) lines up with most religions.  Wonder if that’s why they seem to be intersecting like they are.

Just buy a laser printer and be done with it.  You’ll need new toner like every 3-5 years (if you print as often as I do).  An all in one is worth it as well, at least with as much as I’ve been scanning things to avoid mailing or turning things in person.

I make a comment on nearly every question about leases - asking why anyone would lease?  I get there are specific scenarios for it - another commenter mentioned they get a car allowance from work (however, I’d still prefer to own something at the end and just have my work essentially pay for the car) but I just don’t

I mean, he’s already behind money-wise by leasing in the first place

#2 is far worse.  #1 you can use to your advantage - walk in an offer cash at well below what they’re asking for.  They’d be stupid not to take it.

The sasquatch upgrade on a badlands is also only $2500 compared to $5000 for the other trims.
