I’m looking at the map I linked as a source in my comment, the one made by WNYC. They go by city hall representation. Harlem and Manhattan are not one and the same, and Google Maps also tells you that. So I don’t know what you think you’re arguing here.

Metro area is not the suburbs. The map claims its bogus data comes from the metro area. Condo fees are as much as mortgage payments.

Harlem is not Manhattan. Queens is not Manhattan.

For a person ranting about the importance of facts, curiously your post does not rely on any.

Except the final tally is not 30% on housing. In a lot of these places, that money only gets you a condo. A condo effectively doubles your monthly cost because it’s as much as your monthly mortgage.

Where are you getting that from? Median income in Manhattan for 2010-2013 was over $93,000 for the West Side and over $100,000 for the East Side, the richest of all the NYC boroughs. https://project.wnyc.org/median-income-nabes/
