Honestly, I think his lawyer is doing an atrocious job with the PR here. First it was releasing the texts that made the woman look like a classic victim of abuse, and now this. Shaming the alleged victim does not generally go well. It just makes you look guiltier. Even if the underlying charges of racism are entirely

Gotta throw in Skies of Arcadia too. Not just one great flying steampunk ship to explore, but several great ones (filled with great characters too). Just another reason it’s one of my favorite games.

Gotcha - I’ll have to try that. Thanks!

This is good, though I got caught just last night in an inescapable situation with no such warning. No spoilers, but there was an item I got by jumping out of a descending elevator (it was marked as an open path on the map, so I wasn’t doing anything crazy). However, I could then not leave the platform without a skill

Only if it can be immediately followed by spin-kicking a cartridge directly into a dude’s forehead.

Hathaway tried, and was delightful, despite having less than nothing to work with. Unfortunately Franco was so bad that it was a net negative.

Am I the only one bothered by the fact that the KOTOR screenshot appears to be on Taris (the opening planet) with HK-47 as a party member, despite him not joining the party until after you (spoilers) permanently leave the planet?

...yeah, I may have spent way too much time playing that game.

Eh, I think former child actors get a bit of a pass there. Being able to step away from their profession and not starve is a privilege, sure, but for many of them the alternative is pretty unhealthy. And when you were a household name from the age of 10, your life wasn’t going to be comparable to most of ours anyway.

Update: installed the PC patch (which took about four hours), but the improvements were negligible. Framerate is still subterranean, and I barely played for an hour before it froze completely again. I’m not sure what they patched, but it seems to have had little effect.

::Sigh:: Ok, lesson learned - people do not understand the concept of sarcasm.

You seem to have missed my point entirely. (Perhaps I should have added an “/s”?) I love Zelda, and fully intend to play the shit out of this game. My point is that some rudimentary plot spoilers don’t dent the appeal of the game, because the main appeal of the game was never about plot.

As someone downloading the patch now, a PSA: I had to clear another 130 GB of hard drive space. So basically you need to download a second full install of the game to apply the patch. (I ended up needing to delete multiple other games to manage it.)

I can’t speak for others, but I’d love it to be running at, say, 30 FPS with occasional pop-in. Right now it’s slowing constantly and dramatically for me, and in some cases (like, god forbid, panning anywhere outdoors) I’m lucky if I get 1 FPS. (That makes combat especially exciting - it’s a guessing game whether the

I mean, honestly - and I say this as someone who regularly plays 80+ hour RPGs for the characters and story - has anyone ever really bought a Zelda game for the plot?

Yeah, I’m wondering the same. I was honestly impressed by it, and while it had some visual noise in a couple things (I assume AI was used to put Scarlett’s face in there), as a whole it actually seems a bit more human. Or maybe the AI has just gotten that good.

I thought maybe Millie Bobby Brown, but even that seemed too wonky.

Yeah, I’d almost be interested in going to see them, but that just makes it a hard pass for me. It’s difficult to find a way to make statutory rape allegations not just corroborated but actually more disturbing, but he found a way.

Just got off the opening level. Definitely ran into slowdowns and freezes. The worst were during some of the in-game cutscenes and the very first moments of the game, but there were a lot of slowdowns during battles (which for a game that prizes timing in battles is kind of a big problem - I had to turn down the

As long as it doesn’t run as badly as the GotG game on my rig, I’ll be fine. (I have a 7-year old graphics card that is still pretty good, but despite being over the recommended specs, GotG ran like absolute ass on it for no good reason. Apparently it was a known bug, but I was getting a framerate in the decimals at

I think that’s just because it was the first one he directed, so he was building on other’s people’s work, whereas in Logan he was at least partially building on his own.
