At what point is this stupid “okay, boomer” shit going to be played out?  Not a boomer, and I’m fucking tired of it.

A Star Wars article! Finally, a chance to share how I felt about The Last Jedi!

Don’t forget to weigh in with a hot take on the prequels.

And then they’ll fire all their drivers...sorry, “independent contractors”...and have to buy and maintain a huge fleet of robot cars.

They’re just waiting for automation to come around so they can ditch the drivers.

The story is this:

Fun story, I recently got a new supervisor at work who moved out here (Utah) from New Jersey. On his initial visit out before he moved, I noticed that he was driving a Chevy Trax rental. So I asked him “What do you drive? Because I noticed your rental is a Trax, so that’s what I’m associating you with, and nobody

We reached the bottom of the barrel several years ago. Then we broke the barrel into pieces and used them to dig into the soil beneath.

Maybe - thinking positively, if probably not realistically - this is what’ll finally kill the prank show?

Very much. I have to believe that there’s some kind of payout and/or job offer at the end resulting in some kind of Move That Bus! feel good moment. If not, it’s just televised cruelty.

This sounds very much like a Bad Idea.

That sounds mean spirited even for a typical prank show.

It seems like the shitty move is mobilizing consumers to try to enforce a near monopoly on digital sales, even though the 30% commission is usurious at best.

Really? Switching from BC and AD to BCE and CE is changing your entire life structure? CE is common era because it's the basis by which the entire world has based its dating system by.

CE has been in use for centuries. It's more universal and not dependent on one single religion. BC and AD are even inaccurate as it's commonly accepted that Jesus Birth was a few years before or after year 1.

It's about standardization in academic discourse. Read any history publication in the last few years and they use BCE and CE. It has nothing to do with political correctness, it's about standardization.

Actually, its not to do with political correctness. Its about providing a universally, scientific reference point which can be used by all publications and peoples, regardless of religious affiliation. Its to avoid confusion, not to avoid offending people.
