I don’t think that most accidents occur because the driver went too fast. Of course there are those that slide off the road, but I think those are a minority.

Touchscreens are bad.

You are perfectly correct in both statements.

Two things:

I grew up on a diet of dirt and sports bikes and rode daily for two decades, and after testing a 1500cc Goldwing I was absolutely appalled.

Ran to the comments to mention Torque, and there it is at the top of the list.

Oh, I almost forgot: in this town, people also slow to a crawl when they cross speedbumps. In SUVs and crossovers with a foot of suspension.

Unfortunately, the same people tend to turn without using blinkers too, because they are the only sentient beings in a system with moving boxes.

Stockholm, Sweden:

Östergötland, Sweden, where I grew up:

Gävleborg, Sweden - not quite rural wilderness but absolutely at the perimeter of civilization:

Oh, wow - this brings back memories. This was the first motorthing I ever drove, at the age of 12.

I don’t know the details and am too lazy to look it up, but I thought it was about unsold cars at the retailers.

My heart bleeds for the luxury brand losing assets to a violent dictatorship.

Ah - thanks.

What happens if you normalize the numbers for % on the roads?

If someone sees you pooping, you were the one who was caught off guard in a private moment.

Thanks, I have always wondered where that trope came from.

Yes please, show me what they have that fits

Why do they switch off generators?
