Add making me side with Fox News to the reasons I hate Donald Trump.

There was also a lot of criticism that all the Black female roles were filled with light skinned/biracial girls, while the men were allowed to have/look like they have two Black parents. This is a weird and super-noticeable problem with all levels of casting, even for the little non-union commercials I used to do. I

I really liked her in “Dope.” But even that film, which was pretty groundbreaking considering it was written/directed/starring POC, still managed to write her as the one-dimensional over-sexualized love interest.

AHHHH!!!! SO EXCITED!!!!

Maybe the emphasis was to serve as a reminder that you can totally get pregnant after having sex even once? There are definitely a lot of young people who never got proper sex education who don’t believe that you can get pregnant the first time. I dunno, just speculation.

It should be the 20, mostly because Andrew Jackson was legit an infected asshole with leakage and puss coming out it. And I would rather see Harriet Tubman, a true american hero, on it instead.

It should have been the $20. YOU HEAR ME IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE $20!!!!

I loved the “My party is batshit crazy”!

Republicans (politicians and their supporters) are drawn to strong authoritarian figures and fall into line behind a “Strong Man” no matter how much they grumble. They will all line up and kiss the ring of Donald Trump in the end and then insist anyone who criticizes him is a traitor, un-American, you know the drill.

shes like the jeremy renner of women

Yeah, I commented above that I was seriously excited for new Massive Attack, but then got to the end of the track and thought... that`s it?

I think the shifts are coming, and have been coming. When I was in college during the mid 2000's, one of our frosh week chants, done by the whole student body during sports games was basically a rape joke. The second year I was in school, student association banned that chant for being offensive, and people grumbled.

I don’t really understand how modern-day God is apparently the ultimate lottery ticket, for a price. It’s one hell of a scam, as John Oliver proved.

I think this is a serious problem with social justice as a whole right now. It’s become really self-destructive for the people engaging in it, and destructive for people outside of it when we see them as not behaving in ways/holding opinions we think they should for their assumed “privilege” level. I mean, it

Right. That is obviously not a slur, although I suppose the idea here is that it was used as such.

I’m sorry to hear that. I’m fascinated and horrified by the level of harassment that takes place inside kitchens. The “anything goes” sentiment is so outdated and destructive. Do you notice any difference in attitude/behavior with the new, younger male chefs coming up and the previous generation? Or is it just as bad?

Wouldn’t it be faster at this point to just list chefs that haven’t been accused of assault and/or harassment?

Wow. Sounds like every restaurant I ever worked in (usually as the lone female chef).

Maddow had a great post on this recently and how this “wah wah we refuse” bullshit is really REALLY shortsighted of the GOP. Any pick that Obama appoints now has a good chance at being fairly moderate in hopes that it would overcome their fucking refusal to do their jobs.

The word on Twitter is...Paul Ryan. I am so glad Denver (I live in Colorado) passed on this burning clown car GOP convention.
