Yep. My first thought is that he thinks it makes him look like he's "just plain folks." God how I hate that crap.

HIS WIFE WORKS AT GOLDMAN SACHS I FEEL LIKE I'M TAKING CRAZY PILLS

"One oval-shaped suit, please."

It probably hasn't occurred to you, but my guess is he has chosen this "everyman can't afford a good tailor" wardrobe on purpose.

Have you listened to back episodes of This American Life? She's in it a ton! Episode 511 "The Seven Things You're Not Supposed to Talk About" is one of my faves, and it features her quite a bit. Also, you may be interested in what others have to say about her voice in Episode 545 "If You Don't Have Anything Nice to

I think you're overestimating the percentage of the population that listens to investigative journalism podcasts. Now, if the trial was the subject of a Michael Bay movie, that would be a different story.

*slowly raises hand*........ Me. I have no idea what's going on.

I dont know anything about this case but I do know innocent people take plea deals all the time. To say he wouldnt take a deal because he claimed he was innocent is complete bull and they have no idea if he would have taken a deal or not if offered.

It's a great place for a Jay Smooth "what you are" vs. "what you did" breakdown. Nobody cares that you think you aren't a sexist, dude — what you said was super fucking sexist.

"____ is the new black" is not a race related expression. It has to do with fashion.

I just discovered there was a problem with the show. I admittedly haven't had the chance to see it yet but the discussion reminds me a boss I had who was Christian and offended by Flanders on The Simpsons thinking they were making fun of his religion. Never mind that he didn't notice the bumbling cop, the corrupt

That's what I thought too, but I've seen a lot of comments that don't seem like they associate the joke with the commercial. I think Tina Fey is mostly responsible for my pop culture knowledge via 30 Rock references and my intense Googling of them.

"When the father made the joke about all the litter making him cry I was ummm wat?!"

I don't think she was "blaming" WOC for the crazes, but pointing out that society tends to be trend-minded. I don't see how anyone could think she was placing blame on any particular group in that.

I loved Kimmy Schmidt. I watched the whole thing twice already. The Dong/penis jokes were hilarious because of the counterpointed Kimmy/penis jokes (Carol Kane says "Ah! Kim-Mee! What were your parents thinking!) and Kimmy eventually gets to the point where she says "Enough with the penis jokes, it's a very common

I'm curious how you came to this conclusion about Fey being racist. 30 Rock? Or other works?

That's not how she identifies ;)

This is a show with an racially-integrated cast, and it's working its way through stereotypes. Given that they've already go the white lead choosing the Asian guy over the white guy, that suggests a progressive bent to the show. I say, give it time.

Jacqueline's parents are the only rational people on this show! How demeaning!

"Y'all ain't about to white guilt me out this check. Miss me with all that!"
