You must have gotten a different version of the “Brett Kavanaugh Defense Playbook” because I can’t imagine “lack of pattern of behavior” “not discovered during previous background checks” “victim not willing to name accuser in legal documents” were part of that playbook because all of those do not apply to his case.
... except that the allegations against senior Republicans like trump demonstrate existing patterns and have been verified enough to warrant civil suits and legal complains that mention the accuser by name. None of which exist in this case.

It’s not like a criminal background check, it’s much more invasive. It’s ridiculous to pretend the vetting process for a VP candidate would be a cursory glance at their voting history and poltiical “etc.” If they miss anything it could destroy a presidential campaign that had millions of dollars and thousands of hours…
