I always like to play the games once in the vanilla (or mostly-vanilla, maybe just a face or skin mod) state, so that I know what it is I might want to change.

I honestly can't comprehend how people put more than 100+ hours on an elder scrolls game without mods. I struggle when talking to people about Skyrim because I honestly can't remember what was in vanilla, and I have never played more than 5 hours of new vegas without project nevada.
