This happened to me in Hitman:Absolution. I had sooo much done and then got dashboarded for some reason, rebooted and suddenly I had a corrupt and unusable save due to a bug :( if its a good enough game though you will pick up the controller again

That sounds pretty spot on for how I felt playing through them. The second was really pretty I just didn't feel compelled to care for the plot/characters/PvP and alas, sadly, my rental period ended.
