This reflects my perspective. I think there are clear issues with how the police investigated this murder, but I was simultaneously frustrated by the one sided ness of the series. At the end of the day, a young woman died and I can't help but feel like that gets lost in the story.

While in Seattle the two officers, both members of the Special Victims Division, took the victim on a ten-hour long bar crawl.

As a pregnant woman, can I just say that I am so goddamn sick of seeing a new study every week telling me I’m doing something wrong? This is my first pregnancy and it is scary enough without some dude in a lab discovering that I may already be a terrible mother because I ate a fucking potato for dinner.

I loved the show through Hawaii (1999), I actually auditioned for that season. My love for the Real World franchise was great. Happened to me when I lived in lower Manhattan (a time when cell phones were optional). My partner was attacked on the street so I ran to the nearest deli and begged the clerk to call 911. He said “no snitchin’. Get out.” One of my most valuable NY lessons.

The deli clerk has changed his story now (or it could be the other way around, it’s unclear which statement came first):
