I'm confused. Of course fashion (like pop music) tends to be youth orientated — young people who don't have to dress for a job every day can take more risks clothing wise. If you want to stay ahead of the curve you look at what the teenagers are wearing. That's just the nature of the art.

@trublusu: My Mom loves Talbots...

@gigi-jade: You mean Coach is an American brand?

If you're a bartender and serve someone who might have had too much and then that person gets into an accident and someone else dies — that family can sue you, the bartender because you gave that drunk one last drink... so, I can understand why the bartender gets to decide when you've had enough.

This saddens me — I'm not a literary snob but I like seeing what other people read on the train or coffee shop or where ever. One of my favorite moments ever was a day after the last Harry Potter book came out and half the plane I was on was reading it.

@TriedandTrue: The full circle dress? I think I need it.

@Ellabella: I'd say we should be friends but that would never work because we'd always be going after the same guys.

Between Tiny Toons and Animaniacs I realized that almost every single "classic" movie was ruined for me at a young age. Do you know how disconcerting it is to watch Citizen Kane and realize that reason why it seems so familiar is that you did see it, but when you were eight and Montgomery Max filled in the Kane spot —

liars — my mom has a totally girl crush on Michelle O. she's so adorable, and will call me up to tell me what the news has reported on the first lady ("did you see that The Queen gave Michelle a hug?").

And here's where I'm going to get a lot of hate — I liked Abercrombie and Fitch when I was a teen. Maybe it was because I never bought shirts with sayings on them, but I got some adorable sweaters and plain t-shirts from them (that I would have hung on to if my mom hadn't given them away). I still have an orange tank

But Eowyn isn't a widely known pop culture figure. But Beatrix Kiddo should be on that list — KILL BILL is widely known (and awesome).

@Raanne: Thank you! Both writers explain the premise in their article which was to host a dinner party.

@Megan Ellen Morrice: When I took drivers' ed, we had to watch a animated documentary that was clearly made in the 70's about the dangers of being high and driving.

@LolaQuinn: I have an undying love of flannel. If that makes me look like a hipster I don't really care.

Saw him last night at Barnes and Noble — he's amusing, but even he seemed tired by his shtick.

that is disturbing and i love it.

@laetitiae: Well, the dress could have some corset like bodice which would help cinch her waist in...
