better take to your bed for 3/5/7 years...

don’t you mean “Lisa Rinna’s hairdresser made me type that”...?

I agree with you (though I think that the full phrase would be “The GOP want low taxes (for themselves, and the other folk can fund all the necessary infrastructure, please).”), and I also agree that this is a serious issue we’re facing, but... now all I can think of is these power players as large delicious

this is the greatest thing ever. I mean, it is so so horrible and makes me fear for the country, but holy god, the ignorance is amazing to see...

Now playing

How about Emily Murphy? Per The Canadian Encyclopedia, “writer, journalist, magistrate, political and legal reformer” - actually first female magistrate in either Canada or any other part of the British Empire. And she had her Heritage Moment as well... Without her, we wouldn't even be people!

and now I’m thinking the stores I go to in Chicago and Honolulu are not the norm? they always have beautiful ones that I have to stop myself from buying because (a) I am cheap and (b) 97% of the time I wear the same Wacoal bras I buy in Japan because they are the greatest bras of all time... and I am fully aware of

not true! I mean, yeah, in general, true... ;-) but the bras at Nordstrom Rack, even in the larger cup sizes, are overall a really good collection of pretty styles and colors. far far better size selection and prices than you’d get most places that aren’t exclusive shops with old european women, and even taking those

Yeah, I’m with you (and very lucky we are, apparently) - not showering every day, basically using a toner every morning and some evenings, and I have been asked for advice on moisturizer by friends because of how well ‘the one [I] use’ seems to work... I was all ‘well, I got this stuff from a friend that I’ve never

So, yeah... available. But they certainly want you to pay for the privilege - I don’t know that it’s $20 worth of nostalgia ;-) I’ll just have to keep it in my memories...

Oh my god, I had forgotten that both Rex Smith and Sooner or Later ever existed... And now I am determined to see them both again. Hey, I was somehow able to find a very basic DVD of Coach, starring Michael Biehn and Cathy Lee Crosby (oh, man, what a horrible time that was for entertainment), so this one must be out

I actually have a pair of knee-high, tan leather boots that I bought in Tokyo about 16 years ago that I still wear at least once a week. Admittedly, I live in Hawaii and am not really hard on them, but... I have friends who groan every time they see me in them, all ‘Not those damn boots again!’

Same - I had so many faked notes that when my mom did send one for reals, I had to rewrite it. (And by ‘I had to’, I mean I had to ask my best friend to, because she did all my notes. Obviously I didn't write them myself, that would be *wrong*...)

I want to marry this comment and have its little comment babies...

I agree so much with this - I love the idea of art and creating, but I have not a talented bone in my body. Paint nights are *made* for me... and though some of my paintings have generously been described as ‘having a good personality’, I’ve enjoyed doing each and every one of them!

I could actually maybe see it with the underwear models, although I’d more likely say that they were both equally unrealistic as expectations for the average schmuck, but yeah, the GI Joe thing? Isn’t he just a fit dude, albeit a bit hard body (heh - not just because he’s made of plastic)? Barbie has those topple-over

I’m not a parent, but I don’t know - I understand that would suck, but you’d rather not get the call and your kid not eat? I must be missing something...

Heh - my mom is *still* a Regal rep. Of course, I don't think she's ever sold a single thing to a person who wasn't herself.... She actually brought the current catalog here to Hawaii to plot out her next order. :-)

Okay, he looks like Christopher Walken’s older, fatter, not-as-lucky brother who spends a lot of time watching tv/movies...

I think retail’s fairly bad, too - lots of young people without agency and people who really need their low-income job. I started out working at Canadian Tire in HS and college, and had a general manager who once offered me money to buy lingerie... Ewww.

Gah - I honestly can’t decide if I want Jennifer Lawrence’s or Suzanne Collins’s hair more... But I do know that either would fall flat (heh - hair puns. I don't get out much) on my head. Sadness!
