Woodley's icy, detached, almost accepting way of telling the story was unsettling to say the least. At first I thought they'd play it like she was sobbing with the horror of the memory, but this was spookier; matter-of-fact, detached, almost resigned.

If only the rest of the movie had lived up to it.
