Hey, I'd march for his right to say it all. He's under no obligation to be beholden to anyone's standards, and if he offends my delicate sensibilities, that's too damn bad for me. That's how free speech needs to work.

While the religious criticism is a little much and occasionally gets a bit caustic, the books are very intelligently written and imaginative.

I'm a little too thin-skinned. I found some of the rather caustic criticism of religion grew a little tiresome. He's entitled to write it however he chooses, I just kind of got a little sick of it in spite of the many other interweaving elements.
