On a once in a lifetime trip to NYC with my then teenager, I took my son to the Natural History Museum 10 years ago and this was my favourite place. I’m so sad to hear that it will be lost.
I still prefer the ‘Pills’ song that The Perishers and Sarah Mclachlan did back in 2008.
What is with all the hideous puffed bridesmaid sleeves this year? They’re making Baby Yeezus cry.
Do! I’ve developed a new appreciation for and obsession with film and TV makeup.
You must just LOVE the comics section of the newspaper ...
I am obsessed with the dresses she wears on Face Off and Game Face, but I don’t think this outfit does anything for her. And she is gorgeous.
Reese looks like she had a ‘senior moment’ and forgot which event she was attending when she got dressed. Inappropriate much?
As someone who was raised in a northern Canadian, wintery climate, this very question has bugged me every single time there is a scene ‘beyond the Wall’. NOONE who has ever dealt with cold and snow would walk around without covering their heads first, before almost any other body part. Takes me out of the plot every…
The Canadian version makes me cringe - I much prefer the original British version, with Fred, the French host. They even have a “First Dates Hotel” in the French countryside.
Chutney with pork is heavenly
I’m NOT quitting The Walking Dead. For some reason, viewers wanted to believe that the end of the world would be filled with walkers, unicorns and sunshine. Nope. There will be more assholes like Negan than there will be heroic leaders like Rick. And there will be more syncophants like Eugene, and Simon, and Gavin,…
What is it with all the products balling up on my face? Why does no one ever mention this as an issue, or is it just you and I? I keep reading about ‘layering products’, but no matter how long I wait for product to sink in, I always end up with balled-up product. If this one avoids that, I’m in.

I’m probably one of the few who actually loved Katie’s dress - but then, I used to work as a bridal stylist and I loved most Zuhair Murad wedding gowns. I particularly love the Art Nouveau details. Perhaps not the best choice for her body type, or for the venue (I hate when brides don’t consider their venue and time…
Weaving of all sorts was a very popular activity in the 70's. Please don’t ask me how I know this.
My aunt and uncle had swinging wooden saloon doors between their living room and dining room. I thought they were so cool. 70's y’all.
Is your dad showing you Baby’s First Loom??
Japanese culture is bound very much in Shintoism, which teaches that the dead must be provided with “spiritual” food and possessions. Almost every Japanese home has a shrine to its ancestors, at which offerings of food and representations of gifts of possessions are made. Graveside rituals are also important. This is…
The original Dear Abby, Pauline Phillips, died of Alzheimer’s in early 2013 at the age of 94. It’s not outside the realm of possibilities that her now senior citizen aged daughter might be starting to lose the plot somewhat and is giving some really bizarre, 1950's era responses to 21st century issues. I don’t recall…
