Good evening everyone!
Good evening everyone!
Yes, everyone realizes that. What people are reacting to is that the preselected photo may be associated with an extremely painful recent event, and while you are just scrolling through your newsfeed, the picture kind of jumps out at you unexpectedly.
For real. Facebook was all, "here's your year in review. Remember that time your cat died?"
Making them explain it point by point is actually incredibly amusing if you can get past how much you hate hearing them speak. It's my favorite tactic outside of saying "That's racist and it's not welcome here", which happens to be her last point. Honesty.
Don't visit has worked well the last two years. Might see how long I can ride this wave.
What gets me is how much people are ignoring the message and focusing on bullshit like improper spelling or the fact he didn't address Banks. This is what happens whenever we try to discuss racial history, privilege, appropriation or anything in that area: deflect and derail the conversation. The history is just as…
What do you mean? I stated in my post pretty clearly that Igloo's success is due to her whiteness. Sure there are plenty of mediocre black rappers in the business but they're not receiving the amount of respect and awards she's getting. So far she's won AMAs and I'm sure she will win Grammys when the time comes…
Actually it's nothing like that at all.
You guys. You guys! You. Guys. YOU GUYS!!!!! How good is A Tribe Called Quest? Soooooo fucking good!!!!! That is all.
I mean, I hope not. But it is possible. However, he's educating everyone reading his tweets so that's good too, right?
I think people are confused. Black and brown Americans are upset at what happened with Mike Brown, and Tamir Rice, and Eric Garner, and John Crawford (who really are just symbols for a larger problem), not because of the individual cops who killed them, because the process of justice illustrated that it's broken.…
Police officers are public servants with a responsibility to the communities they protect. They are also supposed to be screened for sanity by the organization that grants their authority over the lives of others. Different roles in society have different expectations, its not a complicated concept.
Exactly. Agree 100%.
Doing this now is tacky but black people aren't shooting unarmed cops in the head every other week & not seeing any kind of punishment. That's the big difference here. This was a literal isolated incident. You can say all black people are cop killers if this happens 14 more times this year.
Fuck all that Black community noise, this situation according to what we know is an isolated event involving a person that happens to be Black. You don't see the media and people pushing blame on the white community when a white person decides to kill law enforcement.
Fuck everything, and fuck the people who will use this incident to further derail the police brutality and #blacklivesmatter conversation.
It's great to see this inevitable showdown: young black men who play in the NFL and conservative white men, the NFL's target demographic. Nice to see Hawkins representing his side well.
A call for justice shouldn't offend or disrespect anybody. A call for justice shouldn't warrant an apology.
