I totalled my girlfriend’s Nissan Pathfinder driving home from visiting family. Four lane road, wet from rain. I was coming to a stop at a stoplight and the car slid. ABS didn’t engage. Skidded right into the rear of a RAV4. I must’ve been doing like 15mph, tops but the damn truck folded like a tin can.

Bonus points for puns, like “Beyond a reasonable grout” written in the grout lines of the tile.

Is this supposed to be a car review? I don’t understand.  

They are fine, but if you’re going to expect any kind of ROI you’d be better off with the fastback or coupe. They cost basically the same to restore, so why not? Unless you just happen to prefer the coupe styling, which I suppose is possible.

I made the same mistake and restored a 1968 coupe. Always start with a fastback or convertible!!

I mean, it’s cool I guess, but you can buy a brand-new double-wide mobile home for $100,000. And it would have, you know, house things. Like a toilet. And a real shower.

Of course, the bill had its proponents, namely Elon Musk.

Parking lots that try to cram in too many spaces. I just went to dinner last night and the parking spaces were the minimum required width (probably). Even if everyone parks their reasonably sized vehicles perfectly in the middle of the space, it’s still hard to get out.

It falls in that sweet spot of vintage for me. Looks like a 60's car but drives like an 80's car.

I just bought an old 60's house that has a brand-new, fancy on-demand hot water heater. It’s a game changer. The unit is outside, right next to my kitchen sink. It’s great.

I did a Secret Santa once and the guy gave me a W123 diesel camshaft with the timing gear. He knew I was into old Mercedes, so it was a very cool gift.

What exactly were the luxury enhancements beyond the Mazda version? Leather seats would be an easy one, but they skipped that option.

Well, I doubt VinFast invites him back to any more swanky overseas events.
