Very Picard Voice: Belay that climber!

Also, OH MY GOD at that take at radical history.

Old guys have been saying analytics will kill baseball, and I think even they would agree they were talking metaphorically. This dude is literally advocating for less baseball games because analytics don’t even need games to get the numbers. So I guess all the old guys yelling at clouds were kinda right?  This asshole

Last September, according to a timeline of events provided by the Anchorage School District, a swim team parent went so far as to take photos of the teenager at a swim meet and then send them to others

Fuck you.  Don’t come here Sunday morning.

incredible drive from leclerc... dudes remarkably good under pressure...tho hammy did still manage to push him into a mistake...but he got away with it

Where I live (downtown Kent, WA), there seems an understanding that as long as they’re not getting violent or aggressively panhandling, the homeless are as much a part of the community they sleep outside in as anyone else who lives here (it’s not quite as kumbaya as I just made that sound, but you get the idea.)

I’m already seeing the comments, so let’s be clear about something here:

“Cancel Culture” did not kill Alec Holowka. We don’t yet have the full picture of how he died, but it sounds as if he died by suicide, and had been suffering from a host of psychological and personal difficulties prior to that final, tragic act.

No

The possibility of fatal accidents doesn’t add anything to the sport for me.  We can have close competition, see drivers pushing on the limit of control, and see consequences for their mistakes (ie time lost coming back on track, car damage from contact, being stuck in gravel) without drivers being injured much less

They really need to do something about the tire bundles bouncing cars back in to traffic.

Kotaku Game Diaries have been a thing for a thing for a while now—a staffer has posted personal diary thoughts every day at noon since around 2016 at least. At this point, I should hope folks understand that these are personal reflections on games we are currently playing. And I have, once again, been trying to play Dr

On this episode of “Let’s remember some failed police propaganda programs”: D.A.R.E.

Rolled my eyes so hard I saw my own brain.

That said, there is one other point where impatience cost me a few cycles. A point involving racing sand...

Eh, maybe they get an impressive employer match or something. Just “401K” in and of itself isn’t very telling either way.

I played through all of the main game and stopped a little ways into endgame on PS4. I’ve come to the conclusion that the music, midi or orchestral, is overly bombastic and grating, incredibly repetitive, and there’s not nearly enough of it. So after 60 hours, it wouldn’t matter.  I would’ve turned the music off

The wait for the switch version has been killing me but its finally 1 month away. I only got into Dragon Quest VIII but this one looks just as good (and the wait comes with the good music and not the MIDI stuff).

It’s actually being released?!  It feels like I played the PS4 demo ages ago, and I had no frame of reference when it came out.  I wasn’t sure if there even was a game to be released or if it was only just a prototype, as the name stated.

Maybe because this outrage has nothing to do with “consumer rights” or “protecting workers”?
