Well if they are art, then they can be evaluated and critiqued like art for the content they contain, which is what Tom’s piece does.

“Video games are an escape.”
“Video games are art.”
Pick one.

While I love everyone on the Kotaku staff, I do appreciate the occasional guest stars! Keep it up!

To anyone claiming this isn’t just the tired, unoriginal, anti-trans mockery explained in Heather’s post, can you go ahead and explain the joke for me then?

are you just naive or are you deliberately obtuse?

It started out with a switch.
How did end up like this?
It was only a switch,

Maybe I am misreading the article, but what is to prevent someone from buying a few dozen decks and then assembling the cards into a deck of their specification?

I don’t know. I don’t get the impression that any outlet chooses which games to review by just looking at digital stores. And as far as it concerns the sites I read, I don’t feel like any of them have poor methods for choosing which games to review.

Yeah I guess that’s what the second part of my original message is getting at. Who in 2018 is just relying on browsing the digital storefronts to make purchase decisions? People hardly even eat out anymore without checking yelp or some shit.

I don’t think this article has a negative bent, but I also really don’t see a downside to this. It’s not like people are getting tricked into buying something they don’t expect. If people want to buy shovelware for the purpose of pumping up their meaningless trophy count, whatever.

I guess the one the one thing that

Some more Hollow Knight for me. Might get into No Man’s Sky as well.
