It bothers me that the Guardians ride still looks like the Tower of Terror, just with a bunch of pipes glued to the outside.

I don’t think people appreciate the true genius of what Williams music accomplished for Star Wars.
When I was growing up, a lot of movies came out that were trying to be rivals to the Star Wars franchise, and many of them had a soundtrack that was a mixture of synthetic electrical music and warped notes. And it kind…
Bless their little hearts for trying, but if you’re going to attempt something pretty epic a cappella it really does need to be spot on. IMHO they needed some female voices to cover the higher notes, because those falsettos didn’t quite cut it.
Never heard of them. Going to YouTube now!
As a musician, all I can think of is how thrilling it would have been to be part of that performance.
It was good and all..... But Straight No Chaser still the best college based a cappella group out there.
I’m imagining they’re all Beaker.
Violet was the original mean girl of the Peanuts gang. She was even the first character to call Charlie Brown a…
It’s very simple: consume media in the order that it was released. Knowing what’s going to happen and catching all the references is half the fun of the prequel trilogy. It’s like you kind of need to watch the Lord of the Rings movies first to understand what the hell is happening in The Hobbit movies. Caveats, if…
Why is this so hard? Watch them in order of release. That’s the way the story has been told. That’s what drew us all in. People overthink this.
I feel about Star Wars the same as i do about the Narnia books, and that is to introduce them to my kids by their release date/date of publication.
To play devil’s advocate, I can understand why Disney did it. The Twilight Zone might be an iconic piece of American television, and I can’t wait to visit Disneyland Paris’ version. But compared to the Marvel movies it might as well be Angela Anaconda for all the kudos it carries. How many people (many of which will…
Before we rage off, let’s remember
Exactly. Everyone is bemoaning that the leads don’t seem exciting. What’s not exciting to me is watching Batman’s origin story. Again. Or watching Johnny Depp be Jack Sparrow for the tenth time. Something fresh, please.
Because it would be really awesome to have a successful franchise not tied to Disney. It is also nice to see a big budget film that isn’t currently tied to a ‘shared universe,’ which clearly allowed them creative freedom. I guess you can argue that the current crop of Disney films (Star Wars and Marvel) are full of…
I think I may be one of the eight. I seem to have a gift for getting excited about films that end making a Tunguska sized crater. Here’s hope this isn’t one of them.
It’ll totally tank in the US. No matter. No one will be able to take it away from me. For some reason they keep making these movies only for me and about eight other people out there. John Carter, Sky Captain, The Shadow... they sink like a stone, but once they’re made, they’re made. Thank Christ.
I know right? I really want it to do well so badly, just for Hollywood to start realising it can do things like this. But at the same time I’m 99% convinced it won’t do well and Hollywood will use it as yet another example of why you have to stick to old TV or Movie IPs or super heroes.
I agree! New concepts and not just re-hashes of older movies or more sequels or even worse, pre-quels (shudders). I want new. I will pay money to see Valerian and the City of A Thousand Planets. Take my money and give me more fresh and new ideas Mr. Besson.
As a child of the 80s, Roger Moore was the James Bond that I started with. His Bond movies played a LOT on cable back then, which meant we watched his movies a LOT. He was the model of “cool adult”.
