No? He was just a wannabe bro who wanted to be like his bro Gaston, bro.

Stuff like this makes me think that the CGI of, say, Attack of the Clones wasn’t so much “wrong” as it was just “early”. Not all pioneers get the benefit of being fondly remembered.
Amen. Star Trek isn’t canon based really, it’s a progressive morality play series employing western themes to look at relevant issues to the period and relying on heroes struggling with morality. It’s not just an action show, or a soap opera...it studies religion, gender, racism, sexism, war, idealism, psychology,…
The movies aren’t a great barometer of what a Trek series will look like. NuTrek isn’t as deep or contemplative as TNG or TOS, but neither were most of the other movies that spawned from the earlier shows.
By being an overall Star Trek fan, you are declaring yourself a fan of Star Trek as a singular entity. You might like certain shows and movies in there, you may hate others, but if you still call yourself a Trekkie at the end of the day it’s because you love the Star Trek universe setting and history and, well, the ge…
I enjoyed “Enterprise”. Yeah, I said it!
Some people, no matter the effort, will always find it not enough. And it’s true, we could always do more. But perfection is the enemy of good.
CORRECT!! This is a character written by the same dude who wrote Chitty Chitty mother-effing Bang Bang! It should be fun, and suave, and self-aware of what it is.
After The Man from U.N.C.L.E and Kingsman, I’m really in the mood for a more zany Bond. I liked Craig’s version. But I need some gizmos and gadgets and preposterously named people. Keep the story intimate and small, but camp it up some. Enough of Bond being a thug with a gun.
Or maybe guy-who-will-never-get-another-extra-job-again has no clue and they aren’t related to Klingons at all.
This.... is Prime Universe ..right? ..--prime--? I was told prime.
I’m just going to live in denial until someone points at these guys in an episode and says, “Klingons!”
I can’t give this enough stars — a few years ago I visited Disneyworld for the first time ever (last visit to a Disney park was Disneyland in, like, 1969 or something) and I was shocked and disappointed that Tomorrowland was little more than an advertisement for any Disney property even remotely related to science or…
I agree. As much as I love Star Wars, much of Tomorrowland now is basically “slap a Star Wars sticker on it... now it’s Star Wars land!” It seems like it would be a pretty big undertaking to move Star Tours, but it would make sense.
That Cars ride- the whole Radiator Springs land, actually- is some brilliant Imagineering. I have a friend who has worked for Disney since the early ‘90s, and I have never heard her more excited than when she saw the extended plans for Radiator Springs- and she’s very excitable, like most Disney long-timers.
I became a fan of her from The Dome (lol). It is disappointing that everything she seems to be involved in ends up not working out, and none of it, from what I can tell, is her fault at all. I would personally say Tomorrowland was 2/3 of a good movie, but the awful last 1/3 kinda ruined the really enjoyable first 2/3.…
You are slowly becoming one of my favorite writers on this site. Your last 2 articles I randomly came across and found them to be some of the most relatable articles with regards to kids and science/cultural explanations. Keep them coming sir!
A long time ago, I’d hoped that a children’s cartoon character would be my kid’s entryway into the world of science…
So I guess they’re ignoring that we ALREADY know what the 2250s look like in the Prime Timeline. Are they pretending The Cage never happened?
Seems like the uniforms have the delta symbol. In the TOS era, all the different ships had different chest symbols.
