Dealers have obviously pulled worse shit than this (and I’m sure direct to consumer sales stores have and will in the future too), but there is something to be said about being able to walk your ass into an actual building and talk to someone face to face about an issue.

Having been through Germany’s TÜV inspection, I’m certain it would not have prevented this failure.

I’m not going to sit here and pretend you should have done better... but this is why places like Germany have real safety inspections, not the bad jokes that count for most areas here stateside.

A guy I knew from Southern Italy tried to tell me that they make roads out of better material there because they didn’t have as many potholes. I reminded him that roads here go through a lot more freeze/thaw cycles and snowplows.
