At his age a diagnosis is a possibility. His father died at 65 from a stroke and Arnold is currently 75. There’s probably a mixed emotion about being fortunate to have lived longer because of modern medicine but feeling like your good fortune has a limited window.

He’s had a diagnosis of something, hasn’t he? Or he’s noticed some big symptoms and is either awaiting diagnosis or dodging going to the doctor for fear of getting confirmed.
