When I tried to report an abusive boss (whose department lost half its staff in the time I was there), the HR pro told me that “We teach others how we want to be treated.” I imagine that this HR department, if it existed, had a similar reaction.

I blame the ‘60s, which showed Republicans that a full-on attack on education would not only work, it would become critical to maintaining their power. They took the money out of education, primary, secondary, and higher, and let the chips fall where they knew they would. And here we are.
