Have you seen the trigger girl character in kung fu panda? is that how all our female characters should be? should everything be androgynous from now on?

It's why I hate Anita so much. Then she'll come back with the argument "We're not talking about men! We're talking about women!" It's like she doesn't understand that if you're going to claim some slight against one gender you have to prove that the other gender isn't equally slighted in that same regard.

Agreed, but I think the larger point is that most games that feature a "blank slate" character make that character male. In which case one could argue that in these games, the default gender of a human is male. Having a female blank slate is a refreshing alternative.

So here's a serious question that you should think about. You don't necessarily need to respond.

So how, exactly, did saying she didn't like games contradictory to anything else she's said?

So women don't have a place in a "comedic type game"? Got it.

I also never identified as a gamer, despite having played video games my entire life, for roughly the same reason Sarkeesian claims here. And I'm a dude.

You know that people who don't play games can... start playing games, right? It's not like there is one moment in a person's life where they have to make a split-second, final decision about whether they will ever play video games.

Again?!?

Did you take the opportunity to say to the delivery person, "So long, and thanks for all the fish"?

I was thinking the same thing, and now unfortunately we missed out on getting the first DLC free!

Ok.

Exactly. It's plausible that the SD card could be designed to solve this type of problem. It doesn't necessarily mean it's the best possible solution.

I read that article as well. I don't recall that they claimed to have double-blind testing, in which case the whole thing is no better than a testimonial.

Yes, I did say that, didn't I?

Yes, the language I used wasn't clear. The digital circuits in my mp3 player are producing a strong enough magnetic field to induce an electric current in the analogue circuits, which causes the headphone drivers to produce a high-pitched whine.

I have a Sansa Clip+ with Rockbox installed that produces some electronic whine in my headphones when accessing data from a microSD card. So it's entirely plausible that a card could be designed to minimize interference produced in the audio circuits.

If you're watching youtube clips of Jeremy Paxman you have to include his legendary did you overrule him interview.

AHA! That makes a ton more sense. Thanks for denoobifying me.
