It's tempting to be disappointed by Philae's suboptimal landing, but even now we're getting absolutely brand new data and observations about a comet. Not to mention, the analysis of the failures will go a long way to improving the chances of future probes working correctly. This was truly a remarkable achievement,

I always laughed at the joke because it was such an absurd non sequitur, and I find absurdity amusing.

The Aristocats!

Number 9 could make for an interesting subversion, where the corrupted ally, after being freed from the weapon's grasp, decides he/she likes the "dark side" enough to stay anyway.

I am a man. I don't think what Sarkeesian and EmpressInYellow are doing is shaming men. Arguing to raise up the status of women in media does not come at the expense of men.

Do you know of any media company that isn't biased? Any reporters who aren't biased? Anyone at all who isn't biased?

That write-up is magnificent.

I'm in a similar situation, rocking an overclocked Intel Q6600 with 8GB DDR2 that's held up rather nicely with just an upgrade to a Radeon HD 7870. I've been playing Shadow of Mordor at near 60 FPS on reasonably high settings.

I think this could be really compelling as an app on a tablet that allows matchmaking on local WiFi. Playing mind games against a faceless opponent is one thing; playing mind games with your friend sitting across the table is something else!

One is enough, thanks.

This option already exists! You can set both a global default, and a per-game setting.

Purchased. Also, thank you for this refreshingly civil and productive conversation on the internet.

Oh, thanks for the suggestion. Now just to extract myself from reading Song of Ice and Fire...
