I would have no problem with this. It reeks of Bryan Singer’s touch, and I want to see his influence purged away.  Start fresh, and get away from all this damned world saving business and back to the heart of what makes the story resonant, as an allegory for outsiders and those who don’t fit into normal society.

Maniac is fantastical, kind of cool and pretty in the retro sci-fi campy type way. It’s much more odd, but I didn’t care about the characters as much as The Good Place or Russian Doll.
