I’m a huge Iannucci fan but his leaving really let Veep find its voice. The first seasons were good, but not great— bringing the Thick of It/In The Loop sensibility wholly to America where it doesn’t quite translate. The middle seasons kind of had unsure footing when Iannucci left. The last two have been so outlandish…
