You are braaaave for posting this here. I agree, for the record. The amount of shit-talk directed towards models on this site is comical.

Thank you for saying this. Being a hostess in a super busy restaurant felt like being an air traffic controller at times. The worst thing is when people act like it's a personal affront because they can't sit at their most special preferred table right now NOW NOW. The worst thing was when a guy tried to throw a bowl

Yeah I'm pretty sure everyone in the room just wanted to punch that asshole in the face, the poor bar customer most of all.

Yep, exactly that. We honestly had no idea what he was even doing at first because though this restaurant attracted a lot of weirdos we had never seen anything quite so brazen.

When I was a restaurant hostess I learned how fucking picky people are about where they sit. Psycho even. A group of 17 people came in and demanded that they all be able to sit at one table together. Keep in mind that this is a small restaurant with only 20 tables. I told them the only place that was possible was the

"Crow in the water!"

Yeah you're an asshole. Keep on shitposting because I just know you love all that negative attention.

This is my hometown you idiot. If you can't read your posts as a defense of tipping culture I don't know what to say other than you need to learn some fucking self-awareness.

You're wrong on both. When I tended bar in a popular upscale place in NYC I had to have two min wage sales jobs just to make ends meet.

Something tells me that you've never had to support yourself on a server's wages. Just a hunch.

This comment is important if only because it highlights how intense academic pressure has become for teenagers these days. I graduated high school in 2010, and during my time there I was in school from 7:00am-4:00pm, with a two hour commute each way to and from school, and an average of around 5 or 6 hours of AP

The Normcore aesthetic is great. I haven't been excited for a fashion trend for a while, but this is really interesting to me.

No, because you got way too fucking heated and personal over a D-list celebrity in Hello Kitty pajamas.

Still one of the absolute best articles I've ever read on Jez.

You sound kinda psycho.

Yeah. I'm not at all in the fandom side of tumblr (I just use it as an inspiration board and photo diary), but what I see really scares me. When it's just kids it's weird but fine, you know they'll probably grow out of it. But when I see 20+ year-olds obsessing over Harry Potter minutia I get a little sad.

I'm 22 and feel too old for tumblr. Yesterday a 13 year-old followed me and I just about died.

I actually wouldn't mind this, especially for petite sizing.

I didn't even bother doing anything after my boss sexually assaulted me. I was 20 and knew I would never find another job if I lost that one. That feeling of both violation and completely powerlessness was the worst thing I've ever experienced.

I don't know how you deal with the outside world if you see "no problem" as being uncivil. And yes, I did say "thank you." I was a hostess so it was more or less my job. You're making a lot of assumptions based on your entitlement complex.
