can someone explain the infatuation with air cooled anything? I prefer my motorcycles water cooled, and I prefer my cars water cooled. water cooled is much better technology and can withstand higher temps and more abuse for longer. why would anyone who rides or drives on a race track want anything air cooled?
I hear what you’re saying...it’s astounding that a car with a radio, air conditioner, and a license plate is “only” 7 seconds slower than the pole time for the GTE class last year. I know it’s some super manufacturer track day special...but, that still blows me away.
WHY. IS. THIS. TRUCK. SO FUCKING BIG.
IT’S A FUCKING FORD RANGER, DAMMIT
this is Formula 4...
one thing important to note: get electrolyte tablets for your camelbak. just having water isn’t good enough to stay hydrated. the electrolytes are essentially the minerals your body needs, and that salty snack that your doc recommended does the trick. you can usually get electrolytes at a camping goods store.
He’s never going to drive a Silver Arrows car. The higher ups at Merc remember Alonso being the indirect catalyst to spygate and all the flak it caused Mercedes. That was corporate espionage, and it was a world of shit for everyone involved. I badly want to see Fred win a third championship, but he will never drive…
honestly? I’m not really sure...the Triple will be faster. I have a 2014 StTR, and I find it to be a hell of a DD bike. I ride it from Vegas to LA pretty often, as well. it’s a good city bike, and it’s a good track day bike. that being said, I’m eyeing an FJ-09 for a highway bike that can also somewhat do canyon…
because you put that qualifier “I’m pretty sure this Lamborghini would’ve been competitive with some of the 1976 F1 cars” in there...a large part of why modern sports cars are so damn quick is because tire technology has jumped a tremendous amount in the last 10 years.
what you’re not taking into account is tire technology from 41 years ago versus modern tire technology. I can almost guarantee if you took Lauda’s 312T2 and put modern slicks on it that it would demolish any modern sports car.
That being said, it’s still ridiculous that modern sports cars are now going this quickly.
.....anyone else think the cameraman sounds dangerously like Rutledge Wood? I can totally see him doing stuff like this on the weekend in the middle of Georgia or wherever he’s from.
NASCAR is a “top-flight motorsport”?...hmm, fooled me...
further proof that ASSCAR is just the WWE of motorsports...
that’s exactly what I was freaking thinking... :/
you know, I get where you’re coming at...but I’m going to use common sense on this one because there’s all sorts of “technicalities” in my work, and I’m just tired of “technicalities” when you need to look at every situation as its own. no, that responsibility lands squarely on the driver’s shoulders. they never would…
the biker’s crime was speeding and passing over a double yellow on a blank stretch of highway. “rotting in jail” isn’t a suitable punishment for that. negligent manslaughter, however, does suit the bill. the biker should get a ticket, at most. you’re delusional if you think what both people did were equal.
yea, your response had nothing to do with the point I was trying to drive home. this prick just didn’t like getting passed and tried to scare the driver of the motorcycle and overdid it. fuck him. he can rot in jail.
moot point. we’re on the internet. I was replying to your first comment. like I said, “beyond a reasonable doubt.” there’s some things that you don’t NEED to prove.
beyond are a reasonable doubt, fucker. when he got out of the car and said “I don’t care”, that could at least be some sort of criminal negligence.
oh look, that motorcyclist is breaking the law... LET’S KILL THEM!
