It’s less the sunsetting old gear, and more coming out with the “y3" versions of exotics that make you grind them out all over again for no reason.

This sort of review makes me want to start playing again.

It’s official hardware though, and not a mod per se.  I bought my PS2 with network adapter and the official 40gb HDD.

HDD softmod only requires a Windows PC to rip the ISO’s, and then image the drive.  And of course, a Phat PS2 with network adapter.
