It’s got humor like Ted Lasso, a lot of it won’t get your belly shaking without more context from more of the show most of the time. That said, it’s a pleasant watch, but I think this site overrates it in a big way by trying to make it a “hidden gem” when it’s not hidden...

IIRC, most of the US’ sugar consumption comes from GMO sugar beets and HFCS, so crying about a 10-15% loss in cane production shouldn’t be much of an issue except for the people who make Sugar In The Raw and Rum.
