I still use DVDs for offline digital photo storage. I do use removable HDDs for near-line storage, but always want a back-up of a back-up when it comes to photos. And DVDs are more resilient than CDs. Haven't made the jump to Blu-Ray yet, but plan on it.

NOW I got a second one because the first one just die; plugged it in to charge and no charge, no power, nothing. The USB connection always seemed "iffy." I convert ePub to Mobi using Calibre, then load them to the Kindle...works great! I love my Kindle 3! It did something that took a very long time to do...get me back into reading!
