“It’s now possible to create bonfires”
oh fugg
So they’ve Battlefield 3’d everything.
Hmm, you’re right. There’s also a print of Reagan on one of the helmets (although that simply seems like its there for the sake of referencing). The criminals this time around don’t really seem like surfers though, just general thrill-seekers/daredevils.
PETA propaganda?
Practical, I guess, but lacks the charm and substance the original masks (which, lets be honest, were far from practical to begin with) had. IDK, I generally associated Point Break as a heist/cop drama with a heavy dose of surfing. Now, it just looks like another heist drama, just without the emphasis on the “surfing”…

I’m a little bewildered how nearly every single character in the films, yes, including the extras, have extensively developed background profiles that amount up to an essay or two.

If there’s anything the GTA games have taught me, it’s that “crime doesn’t pay”.
Ignoring the lore/story canon, the grey-brown apoc sci-fi military aesthetic (that has been plaguing pretty much every recent sci-fi shooter, mind you) does not in any sense of the imagination spark “DOOM” in my mind. I seriously thought I was looking at leaked footage of a new Gears of War/Resistance/RAGE/Call of…
Thank Christ they changed it.
Lost Planet 1 and 2 were great.
The font gives the poster a propaganda-vibe, which seems fitting in a universe prominently dominated by war.
I bought a 400 dollar machine for a single game.
Eleum Loyce/Shulva should’ve been the set standard for the other DaS2 levels. They were so meticulously designed and reminiscent of the best of DeS/DaS.
The reason why I was left disappointed with DaS2 was because it never had that revelatory shortcut moment. The closest it got to that moment was the shortcut basement door in Forest of Fallen Giants, and that was merely a level shortcut rather than a world interconnection.
