It’s kind of a shame. She wasn’t my favorite, but I liked her. I think the narrative surrounding her tenure as DA and AG in California, while still problematic, became a bit convoluted (is that the word I’m looking for? I don’t know. Brain stuff is hard).

No basic economy for me.  I’m a foot taller than my wife.  When we travel together, I have been paying for extra legroom since the airlines started charging for it.  I need it, my wife doesn’t.  But I like extra legroom and I like my wife too.  So, I buy two seats in extra legroom.  

I flew basic economy recently for a weekend—Chicago to Raleigh. It was adequate. But the fare (last minute) was good. I had a carry on for under the seat in front of me. That’s it. Fine for a weekend. Would not recommend for a longer flight (my flight was 2 hours) or one where you need that overhead. I’ll probably fly…
