I think the concept is more that is “sloppy” to walk around and drink at the same time, considering that you have to dispose of the bottle/can when your done and knowing that there are no “public” trash cans, i.e. trash cans away from vending machines. I think the idea is if you are walking with the can/bottle there…
Are the lengths of the Eras arbitrary? Or is there some sort of criteria for when an Era ends/ a new Era begins? Is it whenever there is a new emperor?
Granted, mobile phones have killed it a bit, but arcades are still very much a thing over in Japan. Pokémon’s had an arcade game where you battle using cards or chips for well over a decade and a half now. Dragon Ball Heroes was one of the big reasons why the franchise was revived before Battle of Gods was made.
Yeah, there’s a small handful of companies that are doing something competent with arcades. Very small. Basically the IC system makers (Konami, Taito/SE, Sega, Namco Bandai) and Andamiro, with Capcom and SNK doing a little bit of good stuff. (But then again, SNK did make SNK Heroines...)
Oh dude, Sega is maybe the most successful company in arcades nowadays as far as I know. They made a lot of popular rhythm games for japanese arcades, they also have the game license for Hatsune Miku and they own Persona since they bought Atlus.
Well, the fact that they dropped AtGames gives me some confidence it won’t suck ass.
The naked P2W of it was probably the most obvious issue that kept people away. Now, you can argue about how P2W it was compared to other games (or M:TG, good lord), but nakedly monetized out of the gate isn’t a great way to draw people in.
Actually, Gokaiger is one of the most popular Super Sentai series and the bungling of turning that series into Super Megaforce is one of the big reasons why people consider that the worst season.

My vote is yes, dead deer should drop meat, because food is a resource you use to supply the control points, and as far as I’ve played it’s not super-easy to come by vs. the demand (also I don’t yet fully understand what the benefit is of keeping the control points supplied with food, water, and materials).
