Agree.  It looks very weird when the rod is way above the window.

It’s the pictures or my laptop as they look brown with cream as does the rug. Maybe just change the rod to satin nickel to match the grommets and bigger diameter as it looks a bit thin. Is there a big enough hem on the panels to maybe alter them a bit?

I read some of the other replies. Do NOT move your curtain rod up. It should never be more than a few inches above the window frame and while yours looks like it right on top of the window frame, that is much better than too high.
