As is often explained on this website, episodes are graded against the show itself, not other shows. So an A for The Family and an A for Mad Men are entirely different things.

It's nuts that ABC will cancel everything else in the world but not this show.
I got to meet some members of the cast at a press junket a few years ago. Everyone was super-nice, as you'd expect, but I was completely thrown by Clare Bowen's Australian accent. And Sam sounds downright Cockney.
