Armitage/Jenkins/Ifans is a formidable lead trio.
Was that old robot played by Michael Wincott? Had that unmistakable gravelly voice.
Exactly. Character above all.
I rewatched the pilot last night after digesting the finale. Definitely some really interesting callbacks. SVP of Sales/Sails cracked me up. Seeing the raw animalistic way Joe and Cam go at each other in the back room of the video arcade recalled the way they slept together in the final.
The showrunners postmortem thoughts on Donna clarified this a bit for me - whereas I saw her final act of heading to CERN directly as a villain move, they explained that it will probably be more about her proving herself as worthy to others, not sabotaging them. And I think that's a great final arc for her.
If only they had been showrunners on their own show from the start, but then again, they obviously learnt a lot during that first year.
Someone at AMC has been taking notes from Landgraf. Someone very smart.
Rooting for him to get his own Netflx show where it just follows him around all day.
I'm pretty into TWD, but boy howdy is FTWD unwatchable. They forgot to make actual interesting characters, kind of a necessity…
He really has - kudos to the writers for rescuing his character.
We could always use more Bos. In fact, Toby Huss should be on every show goddamnit.
Can you do these fashion-oriented critiques on all tv show threads? They're hilarious.
Totally onboard with Donna and Gordo reunion - but Donna seems headed for full villain, so I'm not so sure.
I was expecting an agonising months-long wait like last year, so yes AMC, this is how you do renewal announcements.
It would've been tempting to cram way too much in, but I liked that the 2 hours found some time to breathe, great pacing.
Just crossing my fingers that H&CF doesn't suffer the same fate as other TV Club reviews recently…
You really wonder why they got divorced?
Those last few episodes were incredible. One of the best time jumps I've
seen on a show. I love these characters so much, and seeing them all
together, despite the massive schisms between them, was really
heartbreaking.
This makes me so gosh darned happy, thank you AMC!!!
