I’m getting the strangest sense of déjà vu...
It’s definitely a mono vs. stereo thing, where on my daily-driver phone (Essential PH-1), I do not hear any vocals at all through its built-in speakers (even though it push sound out of two speakers, the audio is mono on this phone)—they’re not just “subdued,” they’re just not there.
