House of Wolves solves your problem of the shards. All the new gear doesn’t use them at all. The base legendaries now take you to 32 without any upgrading. You can get to 32.5 with an exotic, but takes a Prison of Elders/Trials of Osiris/Etheric Light upgraded pieces of armor to get to 33 and 34 (current max).

I would almost completely agree. Except I never got to finish the campaign, since when I was playing, it was hard to get into the forced group dungeons being a DPS class (Dragoon). Once I did get into them, they were quite fun, especially if you had a talkative good team.. but really sucked when I had to wait 2 hours…

The first season had the “Better than it ever could have expected to be” quality going for it, but Try now had expectations, as well as more company input/meddling, which knocked it down quite a bit from what season 1 accomplished.
