I never really “got” Blade Runner the first time through it. Admittedly it was the narration free directors cut. I liked it a lot more when I saw the narrated version... Until I had the opportunity to see the Director’s cut again on the big screen. It’s a completely different experience, and is far superior.

I think if anything, these examples are highlights of why having a good editor to help focus the creativity is essential.
