This is a car which I have a hard time with.

I see them fairly often being in Metro Detroit. I think its stunning and love the looks, that body line raking down off the tail light (reminiscent of classic Caddy tails) is executed much better than the rest of the lineup (including my ATS...).

The sticker price was crack

Summer of 2009, I was doing the Millenial Shuffle after being laid off the second time in as many years from Architecture firms in SW Florida. This meant having a hitch installed on my GTI and hauling my meager belongings in a Uhaul box trailer back home to my parent’s basement near metro Detroit.

We’ll always have Southshore, right?

“What plane?”

I was a kid in the 80s when the hype of the Cold War permeated a ton of our culture. Growing up near idolizing Chuck Yeager and the early space program. I can’t count how many times I’ve read the Right Stuff or watched the film, or Top Gun...

Reading the stories of what these planes could do, and what it took to

No kidding. I’ve been on the hunt for it at a reasonable price for 10+ years, and it keeps going up... :(

I’ve seen the examples in Utah and Dulles; its such an incredible machine to be in the presence of! When’s the mass market paperback version of Sled Driver hitting the shelves?

And the only solution was to cross France’s airspace illegally!

Why does this still have a whip antenna?

Anyone hating on the Senna’s looks wouldn’t know majesty if it bit them in the face.

Great coogly moogly that’s some nice depreciation going on!

The /played is kinda cringe inducing. I started in ‘06 I think, quit in early ‘11... with close to 400 days played. I could BS about being afk a lot but... no... no I was playing. A Lot. Also 37 years old now.

THIS. OMG this. Chuck Norris jokes in Barrens Chat were a lifesaver when running a new toon through for the flight points and/or zones beyond.

I started WoW in early BC, raided a bit (Killed Illidan when relevant, sort of, shortly before Sunwell opened), then went into hardcore raiding (second job...) in WotLK. Burned

Nope, my GTI was a fairly reliable tank until about 2 years ago when an old lady turned right from the left turn lane in front of me. Within weeks of having it 10 years. 140k miles. (It did suffer from the cam lobe issue and drank oil like Homer does beer, but that wasn’t due to mods or tuning...)

Bought a brand new MkV GTI as first major purchase out of college. Modded it modestly, OEM+. Was going to 2 or more meets a week for a couple years. Track (drag) a couple times a year for kicks.

Few things happened, in no particular order:
Founding member of the local club died (accidental, not auto related) and 3

Fantastic piece, nicely done Kristen!

I was briefly, heavily involved in the VW scene in Florida a little over 10 years ago... made a few really excellent friends, attended some awesome events and generally had a good time. We also kept our racing at the track, which I’m sure saved a few lives.

I had a demo for one. Couldn’t even scratch the surface. I’d be curious to try it out again now.

Ready Steady Go - Oakenfold
I Stay Away - Alice in Chains
Interestate Love Song - STP (Yes, cliche)
Flight Response - Days of the New

Pretty much the entire Audioslave debut album.

Same, only I got into another ATS for half what the Wagon would have been... I’m a big fan of the ATS, but... I really wanted a wagon in my life...

They’d be more successful if I couldn’t lease an ATS for literally HALF the monthly payment...
