Dammit, he probably wanted to give us the Scirocco.
Dammit, he probably wanted to give us the Scirocco.
Saw this the other week, too, on 275.
Noooooo... One of the main (vanity) reasons I hate the thought of letting go of my MkV...
Does it Baby?
Grocery Shopping?
Drive in Movie?
VW replaced the high pressure fuel pump and intake cam on my 2006 GTI... twice... First time was in 2009 as a preventative when the car was being rebuilt (ask me how much I hate Geico) after a Ridgeline took her face off, then again in 2013 at 110k miles when the cam follower on the pump failed and ate the cam lobe.
But…
I have the same tartar sauce story, but I worked at McDonalds, and it was a really big guy, who sent it back the first time and we had to add more...
Please tow your GTR to the track with the Hummer next time, and show how much gear you can fit in there!
Right in the feels. The state of loaner vehicle interiors when I had the same job at a Chevy dealership was mind blowing.
I would like to humbly request an open letter from Mrs. McParland as a public service, to the wives of your fellow Jalops (i.e. mine), expressing “Those are cool why don’t you get a GTI? It’s European and grown-up like the BMW and still fun like the Subaru,” in lady language/woman code.
I’m sure that’s what the dealer told him, while upcharging even more, which he was totally ok with since it was exclusive.
I remain in the minority that likes the CUE... Is it because its the only infotainment system I’ve used with any consistency?
This was common back in 2006 when I got my MkV, too... can’t believe its still an issue!
I really have to wonder about the differences in driving habits and braking... I’m at almost 130k on my MkV GTI, front pads and rotors are still in decent shape, and I replaced the rear pads and rotors around 80k.
I'm at 128k miles with X+, I think I had it installed around 5k? Probably had it active 75% of the time. The Flashloader is a neat piece of kit. 2006 with the 2.0FSI
We should start a support group.
I prefer the GIAC flash, its been the best money I put into the car, bar none.
Same boat, but mine's a 2006, and my dilemma is I need the 4 doors, but the wife somehow masked her anti-hot-hatch bias until after the wedding...
The plaid on the MkV was better, but the pattern is still awesome.
