Usually for the Olympics we have our best players. For the world cups we bring in different players, try to groom them for the olympics. America has so much talent that it doesn't really matter and we can afford to do that

Yea he did play well I'm just not a Derozan fan admittedly. But the team will be fun to watch regardless
Mason Plumlee only made it because he went to Duke. His brother Miles is better. If he made the team and Drummond or Boogie got cut that would have been a problem but I don't mind him being on the team. I thought Derozan should have been cut too but it's whatever they still have more than enough talent to win.
I started watching The Wire for the first time earlier this year. I got halfway through season 2 and have been stuck since then. I heard it was the worst season but lawd. Worst part is I'm going to have to go back and rewatch some season 2 episodes because it's been so long since I've watched
Haha I guess Baltimore is really the South
Lol. I've heard that. I've heard he's big in Pittsburgh too. It seems to be very random.
Yea Gotti is probably one of the best out of those type of rappers
Ironically, I thought Shmurda was from Chicago when I first heard the song. I like it though. Sometimes you just need some trap music with a hot beat and a few catchy lines/a hot dance to go dumb to (especially working in corporate America oh lawd). So I appreciate Shmurda, Gucci Mane, Yo Gotti, Young Thug, etc.
Yea he took a deal but the NFL has to work with what the court's decision was. Also Ben was a repeat offender and was accused of something more serious but just paid off the women so I think that's fair he got more time (even though it wasn't a long enough suspension). The fact that Rice's fiance still married him and…
I guess to kind of play devil's advocate, I feel the NFL's response was pretty appropriate. While Ray did what he did, he did not get convicted of any criminal charges, yet they still gave him a suspension anyway. It would be hard for me to justify the NFL suspending him for a substantial amount of time when he wasn't…
Yea that's true I agree. It's sad that we all know what Dungy meant, but some people are still trying to turn it into something it's not.
It wasn't a perfect analogy but I meant in general I could see Dungy saying the same thing about several heterosexual players just because he doesn't want extra non-football related attention around the team. Also, I think the Mike Vick example is different because I feel like most people (esp black people) think he…
Idk specific examples, and it's not a perfect analogy, but I was saying in general coaches and GM's avoid guys that come in with a lot of hoopla around them, especially when they are not top talents and you can draft someone similar.
Like Bill Maher said, the gay mafia is real. If you say anything remotely bad about a gay person (and this time it wasn't even really about his sexual orientation), then you will be looked at as insensitive and unaccepting. Tony Dungy said nothing wrong. He would say the same thing for a player that has had legal or…
Yea that makes sense now. I always said some of Chris's best songs sound like they could have been made by anybody. I know its common for songs to get written then sold to an artist but I didn't know that was the case with Loyal
I hate Chris Brown's music. But Loyal is a jam tho can't front. But my theory for why male artists can keep bouncing back more than female artists is that women generally drive album sales, especially in R&B and their attraction to the male artists allows them to forgive more of their transgressions. Obviously female…
Lolll
Too many names that were quality contenders
This needed to make the list some way somehow no matter the criteria.
It's bad I don't know most of the people in the "Black people you know category". The name is worse to me if I can see the parent's thought process and wonder why they didn't think it was a terrible idea. Like Ashanti's middle name being Shequoiya (I had to scroll up 3 times to spell that right) is just tragic
