I was just trying to help by introducing influence from a half-century-old science fiction franchise that hasn't disappeared up its own ass and utterly embarrassed itself.

No, that's hip.
Reverse the polarity of the neutron flow, and you got a stew goin', baby.
Yes.
I recommend a book called The Noir Forties by Richard Lingeman. I'm still reading it myself, but I've learned a lot so far. It's not about noir books or films, but it details the WWI and postwar cultural and political issues that helped give rise to the noir era.
OK, but something like "biggest wall ever" (which I realize isn't an actual quote, but is a typical sort of Trump statement) means nothing. It's not specific at all, and when he's pressed for particulars, he comes back with some shit like, "You'll see. You'll see."

He's always maddeningly vague or vaguely threatening. (e.g. the "Second Amendment folks" shit.)
Yep—I wasn't being a smartass, for once.
Everything's an air of fuckin' mystery with this guy.
The rationale has been covered many, many times at this point.
Why doesn't Hitler dance a jig anymore?
Hey—if you're in Phoenix, we'll probably do another meetup in the fall.
I don't know that one, but I've got an ugly suspicion.
I haven't had a Big Mac since 1995, when they went to shit. Before that, they tasted good.
You can get diced potatoes in a lot of things out here in Phoenix (assuming they don't just say the hell with it and throw in french fries instead.) I've never seen anything like the potato taco described above.
Mexican food in Arizona is wildy variable. There are plenty of great places and plenty of lame places, and you never know what you're walking into the first time you try a new restaurant.
'97 was a great year. Could you name that many movies from this year that were worth seeing?
