PS4 has a multiplayer paywall, which is unfortunate, i'm with you on that. But I would't agree with calling the PS+ deals and free games a "trojan horse" because they're actually a very good deal.

If it was a Trojan Horse then why didn't they apply it to the PS3 also? Why is the PS3 still free to play online right now?

Yup the ps4 paywall was the deciding factor for me. This will be the first console generation ive chosen to skip since consoles were a thing.

Looks like the best game that no one will be playing ever... I hate to think how hard it will be to get a match of 8 people together a month after this game comes out.... I bought a wiiu and have come to realize that it's a single player only machine... Just not enough North Americans to play with... which is a shame…

They didn't "soften the blow" with PS+'s free games/deals. That same free game/deals policy existed on the PS3 well before the PS4 was even announced.
