The 3DS is already 8 years old, and Nintendo actually supported it incredibly well until last year (or year before that, I don’t remember).

I love 50 First Dates, along with many of Sandler’s movies. Admittedly, almost all of them are old at this point, but The Meyerowitz Stories is quite good.

Did you not read the article? It explains how everything changes to another version if you change region. Artwork, game details, etc. I’m sure the controller also changes to a 6 button layout when you put it in Japan mode.
