It was even worse in Modnation Racers for sure. I loved that game, I actually considered better than any Mario Kart game before it from a gameplay standpoint, but the loading times were absolutely nuts. When it launched, they could get as bad as a minute and a half of loading, if not more. Then the game got patched…

Reminds me of good old Pixeloo. The difference being that these are actual sculptures, whereas Pixeloo made this with the magic of Photoshop.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance doesn’t have the same problem at all because it’s stylized after the comics, not the movies. The caracters don’t look realistic at all, and their designs are different than those of the MCU characters.

It’s not easy stuff. Licenses are a thing, and yes, you need licenses to use someone’s likeness, too. Trying to secure the rights to the likeness of Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo (just for starters, seeing as more will be added later) is probably way too expensive…

The problem with the Microsoft presentation is that most of it was just CG trailers, a practice that I wish could just die. It’s fine to have a few CG cinematics here and there, but make sure to complement it with some gameplay, please...

Overall, I liked the episode a lot. It was as good as it could be given the circumstances of the last couple of seasons.

That was known since the beginning of the show / books. The north was independent for millennia until some great relative of Ned’s (don’t remember exactly) bent the knee to the Targaryen dinasty, annexing the North to the Realm.
